the panels roll up and are secured in place at the front by two black bakelite buttons on the right flap meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left flap

Three piece construction, centrepiece insignia in bronze gilt with red, white and blue enamels, the insignia centering a silver gilt wreath with cross and backed by crossed swords, the four arms of the cross bearing the Franco crown, two facing lions and a castle, mounted to a silver eight pointed star base, each star point with five pairs of faceted rays, with a single pair of faceted rays between each star
