In silver gilt, French made, measuring 78. 2 mm (w) x 78. 8 mm (h), vertical pinback flanked by dual prongs, extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of the Star of Ethiopia was instituted in 1879 by Negus Menelik of Shoa (later Emperor Menelik II). It was awarded in five grades: Knight Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer, Knight, the recipient entitled to use the post nominal letters GCSE (Grand Cross), GOSE (Grand
