While the leather is very fragile in areas

Steel buttplate with original leather lace up butt stock cover

The grips also look to have been replaced by period originals

Original German WWI Kingdom of Württemberg Landwehr Dragoon Officer’s M1897 Pickelhaube Helmet British Ordnance 1984 on a tag inOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is a fair condition smart looking, Landwehr officer pickelhaube from a Wrttemberg Dragoner (Dragoon) Mounted Infantry Regiment officer, as indicated by the "Squared" front visor and Cruciform Spike support. The small gilt iron cross to the front of the Wappen denotes it as Landwehr. The Pickelhaube of commissioned officers holding a rank from Lieutenant to Colonel are all identical in features, but not quality.
