This is a phenomenal M1885 Uniform Coat identified to Sergeant Benjamin F. Tinney, 112th Coastal Artillery Company, who enlisted in the U. S. Army on August 12th, 1901. This was shortly after the formation of the Coastal Artillery Corps, and Tinney served with the 112th Company until his final discharge on December 14th, 1905. The 112th Company was stationed at Fort DuPont, Delaware for the entirety of Tinneys service.
